Cathy and Tommy Brown (Cathy is a daughter of the late Jim and Louise Russell) of the ROB family have this update on their family and their business:

Cathy says “We have just sold our half of Dockside Seafood in Shellman Bluff, GA and we have currently opened a new seafood market in Kingsland, GA with our son and wife, Spencer and Terri Brown.  The market is called Sterling Seafoods after Tommy's grandfather, Sterling Barnett, who was Eloise Brown's father.  He actually introduced us all to salt water fishing so we thought it appropriate to name the store after him.  We are located about a mile off I-95 at exit 3.  Turn east on Hwy 40 or Kings and go to the red light where you see CVS and Lowe's.  Turn right and take an immediate left onto the access road in front of Lowe's.  After Lowe's there will be a Bennett Suzuki and we are the next building.  It is a bright yellow building with navy trim and big signs saying Sterling Seafoods out front and on the building.  We have established this new market in a coastal area that did not have a fresh seafood market even though on the coast.  Business the first month was great.  We hope any of you traveling south near the Florida line will stop in and see us.  Our new store number is 912-576-2460 and the address is Sterling Seafoods 276 Kenneth Gay Dr., Kingsland, GA 31548.  Tommy and I have not moved and are still at 1048 Egret Lane Townsend, GA 31331.  Home phone: 912-832-3696
Cathy’s cell:  912-270-1996”

Spencer, Terri, and Savannah Brown (ROB family), live in downtown St. Mary’s at 510 Wheeler St., St. Mary’s GA, 31558. Cathy says she and Tommy hope to turn over the store to Spencer and Terri after they get it up and running and are thinking about retirement.

Jill and Anthony Palmiotto (Cathy and Tommy’s daughter) are still living in Dallas, Georgia, where Jill is still teaching school, but with the current cutbacks, Jill jokes that she may have to get into the seafood business. Their children, Samantha and Nicholas, are in school with Samantha starting middle school at North Cobb Christian School and Nicholas attending the school where Jill teaches.
